DREION

DREION is an electrifying singer-songwriter, musician, producer and performing artist from Omaha, Nebraska. His music can be best described as a combination of Gospel, Soul, Funk, and R&B, taking inspiration from Prince, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Kirk Franklin, and many more.

Dreion is a survivor of the foster care system and an activist for foster care reform. He proudly partners with national foster care organizations such as First Star Academy, Mixed Roots Foundation, and Earth, Wind, & Fire's Music Is Unity Foundation as an ambassador and honorary board member to highlight the struggles of foster youth across the country.

In 2020, original music from Dreion’s debut EP “I AM LIFE '' was featured in the film “Foster Boy '' produced by Shaquille O’Neal to shed light on the challenges foster youth face every day. As a survivor, Dreion seeks to use his traumatic experiences to impact generations internationally through the healing power of music and the art of live performance.

Dreion has had the privilege of opening for and collaborating with iconic artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Musiq Soulchild, Lalah Hathaway, Bootsy Collins, and J. Ivy to name a few! He has performed for many prestigious events and venues including the Pinnacle Bank Arena, City Winery Venues, the College World Series, Gillette Stadium, and the legendary Grand Ole Opry.

He is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Songwriting minoring in Africana Studies who balances his career and performing life while also being a husband and a father. Dreion is also an alumnus of both the Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship and the Warren & Susan Buffett Scholarship programs (full cost of attendance awards for outstanding academic excellence). In 2019, he was awarded “Performer of The Year” by the Berklee Urban Service Awards.
